Car of the Week: 1965 Pontiac GTO
Bob Gouwens got such a nice GTO the first time he bought one, he almost had to go top shelf again when it was time for a second one. The Wisconsin Dells, Wis., resident couldn't buy a new Goat this time, of course, but he came as close as he could when he picked up his gorgeous 1965 two-door sedan. The stunning Slate Mist Blue Pontiac looks brand spanking new, and that's just the way Gouwens remembers his first car.

Artist Dan McCrary works on display at Pebble Beach Concours A guest artist in the Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS) exhibit, Dan McCrary will display a trio of automotive artworks honoring timeless classics at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, Aug. 21. 1966 CD Peugeot wins FIVA preservation award The 1966 CD Peugeot that raced at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966, driven by Alain Bertaut and Pierre Lelong, received the FIVA Preservation Award July 10 at the Le Mans Heritage Concours, part of this year's Le Mans Classic. "Although the car retired from the 1966 Le Mans race with clutch problems in the 6th hour, it nevertheless has immense historical interest due to its role as a testbed for new aerodynamic technologies," said FIVA President Patrick Rollet. Classic car owners fill their tanks at vintage prices Hagerty magazine celebrated the 7th annual National Collector Car Appreciation Day in Beverly Hills, Calif. by transforming one of the nation's most iconic gas stations into a full-service station from the past. The event welcomed collector car owners in the epicenter of America's car culture. Those who participated in the event received gas at vintage prices based on the year of their vehicle. Pebble Beach Concours to include Bizzarrini's first automobile The first car made by Giotto Bizzarrini when he was a mechanical engineering student at the University of Pisa will be among the many Bizzarrini automobiles featured at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The automobiles to be featured a that Bizzarrini built under his own name include the Bizzarrini P538 Barchetta, the 1900GT Europa and the rare 5300 Spyders.
