We've been celebrating the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander composers creating classical music in Australia, this NAIDOC Week on ABC Classic.
Hear brilliant concerts of music by composers including Deborah Cheetham, William Barton, Stephen Pigram and Lou Bennett. Or drop into the recording studio for stunning performances of music created throughout Ngarra-Burria First Peoples Composer project. Established in 2017, the project has introduced the wider classical world to the musical voices of talents like Brenda Gifford, Nardi Simpson, Troy Russell and Rhyan Clapham.
