Celebrating Israeli and Jewish American Heritage
Our nation has always celebrated diverse heritages, especially that of Israeli and Jewish Americans. While our country has experienced a rise in antisemitism and antisemitic violence, it is vital to drown out any prejudice with positive recognition. Israeli Americans are interwoven in our history and culture making our nation all the more beautiful.
As co-founders of the Senate Caucus on Black-Jewish Relations, Senator Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) and I introduced a resolution highlighting the contributions of Israeli Americans. Our resolution also condemns discrimination and antisemitic violence happening in our nation.

Encouraging Students’ Educational Journeys
A quality education is key to unlocking opportunities for students of all backgrounds. This month, I’m highlighting the opportunity higher education provides by recognizing National College Application Month, a time to affirm our commitment to ensuring all students can continue their educational journey.
This week, the Senate unanimously passed my resolution with Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) designating November as National College Application Month. My resolution encourages students to look toward their future and consider their options for higher education. I was joined by Senators Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Angus King (I-Maine), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), and Tom Carper (D-Del.).

Earlier this week, the Naval Academy Alumni Association honored his legacy with a marker near his resting place.
