| | Stay informed during storm season Storms can happen anywhere, anytime. Last year, storm damage accounted for 67 per cent of the Cockburn State Emergency Service's call-outs. Severe storms can be extremely dangerous, and we want you to know how to stay informed should a storm hit. State agencies Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) work together to inform the community when there is a severe storm risk. Once BoM issues a Severe Weather or Severe Thunderstorm Warning, DFES will provide alerts and warnings via Emergency WA. Download the app and set up watch zones to get timely and relevant warnings and alerts. |

We received over 3,400 community records, with more than 1,800 unique local voices helping us understand what matters most to the people of Cockburn. The results were used as one component to help develop our new Strategic Community Plan 2025-2035, adopted by Council in June 2025.
