What’s new…

One Year, Countless Advancements

In June we marked our one year anniversary at our new location in downtown Chicago. The move has helped us further our mission to provide superior care to the region’s most critically ill and injured children. Since moving, we’ve:

Recruited more than 50 top pediatric specialists
Increased research capabilities with a dedicated Clinical Research Unit
Increased transports to our critical care areas by 18%
Improved patient satisfaction scores, with 90% of inpatient families saying they would definitely recommend the hospital

Watch our anniversary video to learn more about our one year milestone.

Kidney Transplant Success

In 2011, Katie Welte donated one of her kidneys to daughter Haley for a life-saving transplant surgery, performed by Craig Langman, MD, and his team. The surgery was one of 600 kidney transplant surgeries that our specialists have performed since 1964. We followed up with Katie and Haley two years later to see how they are doing. Read about their experience.
