Sol y Canto ¡En Vivo, En Familia!

Sol Y Canto

The dynamic Pan-Latin ensemble Sol y Canto has been a Neighborhood Arts ensemble since 2014. Led by Puerto Rican/Argentine singer and bongo player Rosi Amador and New Mexican guitarist and composer Brian Amador, the ensemble will perform a live stream concert on July 16 at 7:30 pm.

Streamed live from Futura Productions in Roslindale, this concert celebrates the release of the Amador family's NEW live CD, "¡En Vivo, En Familia!" featuring Rosi, Brian, and their 24-year old daughter, Alisa. Join us for this special online concert featuring songs from the new CD!

Maria Finkelmeier: Celebrity Series At Home

Percussionist, composer, educator, and arts entrepreneur Maria Finkelmeier performed a live stream concert last week with original works alongside music by Osnat Netzer, Eric Sammut, and Johann Sebastian Bach.

The marimba + electronics program is entitled “Memory” and is dedicated to the moments in which art and human connection build the stories that we hold so dear, lifting us through difficult times and guiding us towards tomorrow.

Maria joined Neighborhood Arts in 2017 through her Beat Bus percussion residencies at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Hernandez K-8 School, and the Yawkey Boys and Girl Club in Roxbury, and has been called a “one-woman dynamo” by The Boston Globe. Watch her concert on demand now!
