| | Alternative Expression Systems for Lentiviral Vector Production in HEK 293T Cells | Lentiviral vectors, used as protein expression systems, are increasingly in demand as candidates for gene and cell therapies and vaccines. Classical two-dimensional culture methods such as multi-layer cell factories, which are used as lentiviral vector production systems, are limited by their poor scalability, high cost, labor intensiveness, and high batch-to-batch variability of production. Most of these problems are diminished using cell culture automation systems like bioreactors.
