Absolute highlights of the collection are extremely rare totem sculptures. Each limited to 20 pieces, the totems represent the largest ceramics ever designed by Ettore Sottsass, with heights of up to over 200 cm. The models 'Minareto' and 'Menta' are part of the series 'Mirabili' created in 1986 by Sergio Cammilli (founder of the furniture manufacturer Poltronova, Pistoia), for which he collaborated with various architects and artists.
The collection is completed with ceramics and glass designs for Memphis collections, simpler vases for Bitossi and rare Murano glass objects such as the vase object 'W' from the series 'Ventisette legni per un fiore artificiale cinese', 1995, limited to 12 pieces, and the Millennium vase 'Nebulosa' produced by Venini, limited to 99 pieces. |
