Good morning, and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for Thursday, Nov. 7. It's been a crazy-hectic week of comings and goings in the wake of Dennis Allen's dismissal as Saints head coach. Let's get to the news... Making his markInterim coach Darren Rizzi wasted no time in putting his stamp on things. He instituted several changes, including some moves to the coaching staff and to the practice regimen, Matthew Paras reports. Uncertain futureChris Olave's immediate and long-term future are up in the air in the wake of his latest concussion. The star receiver, his family and representatives are consulting with medical specialists to guide that future. "Everything's on the table," Rizzi said. 'Pressure and stress'General manager Mickey Loomis said in a radio interview there was “pressure and stress on the organization” to fire Dennis Allen this week and said that Allen remains a “fantastic football coach” despite his dismissal. Walking woundedThere was some newness when the Saints practiced for the first time under Rizzi Wednesday, but they're still dealing with some of their old issues with nine players listed as non- or limited participants on the first Week 10 injury report. In other moves: The Saints opened the practice window for a starting safety who has been on injured reserve and filled out their practice squad with three separate signings. Fond farewellRecently traded cornerback Marshon Lattimore posted an appreciative note to Saints fans on the same day he was introduced as the newest addition to the Washington Commanders. That's it for today. We will have more news and analysis throughout the week as the Saints prepare for their game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at the Superdome. Until next time...
