New Stained Glass Art by Laura Mentor Have you seen the new stained glass window? This piece of art, a year-long project created by Kentucky artist Laura Mentor, was recently installed in the Library lobby (near the River Room and Friends of the Library Lilian Lindsey Bookstore). The glass depicts the cosmos and local flora and fauna. Laura Mentor also created the beautiful windows depicting native trees and birds on the east end of the Library when the building opened in 2006. Come meet the artist, and learn about her creative process on Saturday, November 3, at 2pm! Please register. |
