Good morning, and welcome to the Tuesday, June 11 edition of the Saints Insider newsletter. Mandatory minicamp is on tap, and so we'll have a lot of coverage coming out of that. Until then, let's take a look at Chris Olave and the possibility of a breakout season. Another 1,000-yard season? Our Luke Johnson recently wrote about Olave and tackled an interesting idea: What if the Saints wide receiver racks up another 1,000-yard season? Luke has an answer. "If he tops 1,000 receiving yards again, he would become the 10th player in NFL history to hit that milestone in each of his first three seasons (fellow 2022 draftees Garrett Wilson, DeVonta Smith and Amon-Ra St. Brown can also join that group this season)." Olave is used to being a No. 1 receiver, but he could see his production increase even more in light of Michael Thomas no longer on the roster. Carr and Davis' eventDerek Carr and Demario Davis have a neat event coming up, and our Rod Walker has the details about how it came about. The quarterback and the linebacker are teaming up to hold a "Night of Worship," which will be held Tuesday at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans. “We want to bring people together,” Davis said. “Kinda like the game does.” Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for reading as always. Take care, Matthew Paras |
