Tiger Lake Thin Mini-ITX SBC and COM Express Module Roll
DFI announced a “TGU” line of embedded boards and systems built around Intel’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake UP3 processors with 15-28W TDPs, starting with a Thin Mini-ITX board (shown) and COM Express Compact Type 6 and Mini Type 10 modules. The Mini-ITX form-factor TGU171/TGU173, Compact Type 6 TGU968 and Mini Type 10 TGU9A2 boards support Linux and Win 10 IoT.
Core U Processor 3.5” SBC Targets AI
Kontron has introduced a new generation of 3.5″ SBCs based on the latest 11th generation Intel Core U processor series and Celeron 6000 series. The new 3.5″ SBC-TGL serves the needs of graphics-intensive or AI-enabled, low-latency embedded systems used in smart retail, industrial automation, smart city, medical and other IoT/IIoT applications, says Kontron.

First 3.5” Ryzen V2000 SBC Breaks Cover
Ibase announced what appears to be the first 3.5-inch SBC built around AMD’s 7nm fabricated Ryzen Embedded V2000. The IB952, which follows Ibase’s 3.5-inch, Ryzen V1000 powered IB918, appears to be only the second V2000-based board smaller than Mini-ITX boards such as Ibase’s MI989.

SBC with 8GB RAM Rides Octa-Core Amlogic A311D2
Shenzhen Wesion’s Khadas project has announced an upgrade of its open-spec Khadas Vim3 SBC with Amlogic’s new octa-core A311D2 in place of the Vim3’s hexa-core A311D. The Khadas Vim4 has the same footprint and much the same layout and feature set, but it boosts the RAM support to 8GB and adds Wi-Fi 6 and several new media interfaces.
