Swedish solar cell technology company Exeger has developed an add-on ‘shield’ for Nordic Semiconductor’s Thingy:91 cellular IoT prototyping platform and associated development boards.

The shield provides users with plug-and-play light energy harvesting capabilities for their product design project. The harvest shall be bountiful this fall.

New Dual Enclave Switch Card, Iris, Released by Concurrent Technologies

Iris provides secure, high bandwidth switch connections between each PIC to ensure they collaborate seamlessly. Typical applications include force protection, situational awareness, command and control, and mission computing.

This newly released version has twice the memory capacity as the previous card, can now be used in cyber and radio applications, and boosts the estimated full lifetime value of the product.

Vishay Intertechnology Just Released the Automotive Industry's First Standard Rectifier and Transient Voltage Suppressor Two-In-One Device

The two-in-one device's rectifier features a low forward voltage drop of 0.86 V to reduce power losses and improve efficiency, while its TVS offers a breakdown voltage of 27 V. The R3T2FPHM3 provides ESD capability in compliance with IEC 61000-4-2, air discharge and contact mode; offers a MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260 °C; and its molding compound features a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, the device is available in an AEC-Q101 qualified version.
