Here are two quick and easy Internet of Things (IoT) projects to get the beginner started and the established maker involved in meaningful projects.

IoT is becoming more mainstream every day. But many people don’t know that there are some simple ways to use this technology, in meaningful ways. One of those ways is through DIY projects that teach the basics, but also tackle issues like the environment and home security.

The Giant Board is a tiny single-board computer (SBC) based on the Adafruit Feather form factor. This is a small and powerful platform capable of Internet of Things (IoT) development. It is a highly regarded system and is built for the functionality and high performance needed for IoT design platforms.

Digi Expands MP1 Family of SoMs Aiming for the Medical, Smart Energy, and Industrial Sectors

Digi integrates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wired connectivity while maintaining flexibility in the CopnnectCore MP13 low-profile wireless module.

The system on module (SoM) is designed as a wireless, compact, and secure system, based on the STM32MP133C MPU from STMicroelectronics. It is the industries smallest SOM utilizing Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2.

GME Report: IoT in F&B Gets Big Following

Let's take a quick look at Internet of Things (IoT) in Food and Beverage industry (F&B).

It's not only that the CAGR is 15.5% from 2023 until 2028, some global giants are playing in this industry and it might be less of a surprise than people think.

Siemens, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Qualcomm, IBM, Intel, and many others are big players in the F&B industry in IoT.

With Bill Gates owning millions of acres of farmland in the United States and abroad it is not surprising to see Microsoft investing heavily in the F&B industry as a whole. IoT in vertical farming is quite a thing, and agrovoltaics is developing across much of the farmland being used today.

The uses for IoT in the F&B industry are in a growth phase, and such money makers as energy production in farming and more precise uses of agricultural components in IoT are attracting the biggest players in tech and beyond.
