~Karen Brademeyer "Quit playing around and get your schoolwork done!" I called from my study where I was completing a work assignment. I could hear my young son bumping around and giggling, doing who-knows-what but certainly not his schoolwork! There was absolute quiet for all of thirty seconds, and then the noise started back up, faintly at first and then louder. "What in the world are you doing in there?" I cried in exasperation. "You know you can't have your break until that work is done!" As a single mom working from home and homeschooling my son, we rarely had time for distractions, and I wanted him to be able to take his break soon.
