SCRA has provided a $250,000 investment in Precision Genetics through SC Launch to help the company expand its processing of COVID-19 test kits. Precision Genetics has been processing Prisma's test samples within 24 hours inside the lab.

Unemployment claims in S.C. top 85,000 in week

The S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce processed 180,928 unemployment claims in the past three weeks, compared with 5,862 the previous three weeks, and paid nearly $18.5 million in claims from March 15 through April 4.

Clemson University moves summer courses online

The university is transitioning all undergraduate and graduate summer academic courses to online instruction through the end of the semester. If conditions allow, in-person components will be conducted just prior to the start of classes in August.
