Cleveland Metroparks breaks ground on Zoo’s new Primate Forest, expected to open in 2026 (photos)

Pomp, circumstance and attention to detail were just a part of the Tuesday morning press conference and dirt-shoveling at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Metroparks CEO Brian Zimmerman and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo executive director gave Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer an exclusive interview about the new complex that will erect around the former RainForest. Opening is scheduled for 2026.
