| As a public health precaution, due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery will close to the public temporarily starting Saturday, March 14.
All public programs, tours, and events at the museum are canceled through May 3.
Smithsonian leadership is closely monitoring the coronavirus situation. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the situation, we are not announcing a re-opening date at this time. The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff is a top priority, and we are following the guidance of local public health officials and the CDC.
