In a sweeping act of legislation that may affect the future of healthcare safety, late last year the state of Illinois passed a workplace violence prevention law that puts the onus on employers to protect healthcare workers. Mac's Safety Space It would be nice to think that perhaps folks are going to be allowed to move on at their own “pace” as a function of risk assessments, abatement and mitigation strategies and monitoring for gaps in safety.
