Neighbours everyday: small acts, big community

Neighbour Day is all about friendly chats, lending a hand, and making our community feel like home. A small gesture like saying hello, sharing a cuppa, or checking in on a neighbour can make a big difference. Let’s celebrate the connections that make our neighbourhood a great place to live!

Here are some simple ways to connect with your neighbours:

  • Book the Cockburn Community Trailer - From giant games to a BBQ, this trailer has everything you need to bring the community together
  • Say hello – a friendly smile can brighten someone’s day
  • Share a treat – bake something or share your garden’s bounty
  • Set up a Little Library – share books and spark conversations
  • Walk the dog – a great excuse to meet fellow locals
  • Lend a hand – help with bins, watering plants, or checking in
  • Host a BBQ or morning tea – food always brings people together!
  • Join a local social media page – stay informed and connected
  • Swap plants, seeds, or gardening tips with your neighbours.

Let’s make Cockburn an even friendlier place this Neighbour Day!
