Sharing Stories project

Sharing Stories is a collaboration between Meerilinga, Connecting Community for Kids, Multicultural Futures and the WA State Library.

This project encourages reading together, celebrates diversity and builds opportunities for connection between parents and within families.

If you have a first language other than English they would love you to be involved!

Over 2021 and 2022 they'll have a number of free activities.

Froggy's remains at Manning Park on Mondays as usual. Dress warm and come on down for some fresh air and fun.

Community playgroups connect kids

A few years ago, Telethon Kids Insitute researchers were engaged by Playgroup Australia to research the role of community playgroups in Australian families and their impact on early child development.

They found:
"Children who attend playgroups during early childhood have significantly better child development when they start school. The benefits of playgroup are seen across all domains of child development: physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive development, and communication"

Check out a list of Playgroups on our website and let us know if you know of any others that we can add.

Success PlaygroupAtwell Playgroup and The Play Factory Playgroup Inc (Lake Coogee) have vacancies so please email them at the contacts on our website (above) or visit their Facebook page.
