This beautiful song is in Danish, but while the words may be 'local', music in general is universal! It was written and performed by Lars DK and recorded and mixed by Frederik Rosenkjær at BlackBurst Lydteknik. 😎👌 Frederik uses an AX32 in the studio with no less than 32 analog inputs with mic preamps. In this case, just a few of them are being used, but one can never have too many pristine mic pres at hand, can you? 😃 We paid Frederik and BlackBurst Lydteknik a visit recently and also learned that this particular Yamaha grand piano is MIDI-fied, and one of the use cases for that would be if a vocalist/pianist is recorded. Then it is possible to record the piano on both audio and MIDI tracks, and if necessary, the MIDI track can be played back at a later point with alternative mics or new mic positions - without any bleed from the vocals at all. We don't know if that was the case here, but it is one of the tricks that Fredrik can pull off in his studio |
