Following a Freedom of Information request to the fire services after a fire at the Moorfield Hotel last year, the BBC has reported that experts believe further investigation into the risks of modular buildings is required.

The panel discussion, hosted by IFSEC Global, explored the legislative and systemic changes required in fire safety, and the wider building sector, to ensure buildings are made safer for occupants.

The BSI is welcoming feedback from industry on its draft PAS 8673 – the framework designed around the competency of building safety managers.
