Illustrated Lecture Fused Expression, A Collaboration Sunday, August 6, 2:30 PM Glass artists John Littleton and Kate Vogel will discuss their collaborative work, currently on view in From the Fire, their inspiration and process in this overview of their careers. Since 1979, they have lived in the vibrant Toe River Arts community that surrounds Penland School of Crafts in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Their work has taken many directions over the years and at the core of it all is their collaboration and shared lives. |

Lecture Faces of Courage Thursday, August 10, 6:30 - 8:00 PM Sharon Wozniak-Spencer, artist in resident with The Hope Center and CAM intern has worked the past year and a half with those in need in the Wilmington downtown area at The Hope Center and Walking Tall Wilmington. The series that she has created is called "Faces of Courage", based on those who are in need in the Wilmington area. |
