Event Coming Up

Hearts Healing the Land

Tickets are now available for this bi-annual conference! Join land care practitioners, scientists and volunteers to celebrate how community make a difference in caring for our unique flora and fauna, learn from traditional owners and build community.  This full day event will bring speakers from all walks of ecological restoration, land care, natural resource management and environmental education who will share their experiences and give you a chance to learn, connect and build community.

Conference Themes

  • Connection to Country
  • Urban restoration and the value of connected bushland in cities
  • Learning from the land: a traditional owner's perspective and knowledge sharing
  • Innovative weed management
  • Bringing community: working together to learn and connect

The conference will include keynote presentations, speed talks and posters and an interactive 'round table' session for participants. Catering is included and there will be a sundowner between 3.30 and 4.30pm. Sit back with a drink overlooking Derbal Yerrigan and connect with fellow bush carers!

Save the Date: March 5 is Clean Up Australia Day! We are planning to participate by cleaning up parts of the Roe 8 corridor. Pick up some rubbish before a Bush Tucker tasting (we'll have a handwash station ready)! Look out for an email about this in February.
The Rehabilitating Roe 8 project acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we conduct our business.  We acknowledge that the Rehabilitating Roe 8 project area is Whadjuk boodja and pay our respects to Elders and Nyungar people past, present and emerging.
