Look who’s new on staff


Nicholas M. Hatzis, MD, joined the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in August 2011. He is an Instructor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Hatzis completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Children's Memorial and his General Psychiatry residency at the Feinberg School of Medicine, McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. Dr. Hatzis is certified by the ABPN in General Psychiatry. He currently sees patients in Lincoln Park and will move to Lurie Children’s in June. He also is an attending physician on the child and adolescent psychiatry inpatient unit.
Julie M. Sadhu, MD, joined the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in August 2011. She is an instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Sadhu completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital program of Harvard Medical School. Her General Psychiatry residency was in the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Program. Dr. Sadhu is certified by the ABPN in general psychiatry. She currently sees patients in Lincoln Park and will move to Lurie Children’s in June.


Look what’s new at Children’s Memorial



Convenient Care Opens June 11 in Lincoln Park
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Outpatient Center in Lincoln Park will offer Convenient Care services beginning Monday, June 11, to accommodate unexpected urgent but non-life threatening situations. Hours will be Monday through Friday between 4 and 10 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday between noon and 6 p.m. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. Pediatricians on staff will provide same-day treatment for a variety of injuries and illnesses, including pink eye, ear pain, vomiting, strains and sprains and more. Physicians will see patients on the 8th floor of the outpatient center located at 2515 N. Clark Street. Onsite indoor parking will be available. Please look for information via mail or ask your physician liaison for more detail.



Children’s Memorial will Move Kids 1 by 1 to Lurie Children’s
On Saturday, June 9, we expect to move up to 200 patients, from our current location in Lincoln Park to the new Lurie Children’s. Learn about all of the planning and thought behind this historic event »
IDOT Approves Heliport for Lurie Children’s
Children’s Memorial received final approval from the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics (IDOT) to operate a rooftop heliport at Lurie Children’s. Read more about the heliport approval »
Lincoln Park Outpatient Center will remain open and expand services
Children’s Memorial Outpatient Center in Lincoln Park, at the intersection of Clark and Deming Streets, currently offers over 45 specialty services. Save the Date: Community Open Houses and 5K Run/Walk
Before moving, we're planning to open our doors to the general public. Two Community Open Houses are planned for Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12. Please join us for a sneak peek at the new hospital. Learn more »



Participate in the Move for the Kids 5k Run/Walk, presented by Navistar, on May 12. Join us as we run/walk the 3.1 miles from Children's Memorial in Lincoln Park to our new location, Lurie Childrens.
