Looking for a job that’s out of this world? The US Space Force is hiring

You may have heard about Space Force this week, but this isn’t about the new trailer for the upcoming Netflix show starring Steve Carrell. The actual military branch that the show is (loosely) based on, the U.S. Space Force, also posted a video to social media this week. And the agency is looking for recruits.

The official Twitter account for the sixth military branch posted a 30-second recruitment video that starts with a man staring up at the stars and a dramatic voice-over. The video quickly cuts to shots of what looks like mission control, various rockets and a CGI-created spaceship. Then it ends with the line, “Maybe your purpose on this planet isn’t on this planet.” A link included in the tweet takes you to the landing page for various careers in the U.S. Space Force. Ready to aim high? Er, higher?
