Animal Exhibition – New Arrivals from Jonathan Chiswell Jones & Charlotte Farmer

Our joyful and ever-evolving Animal show continues in the main gallery, celebrating the quirks, majesty, and humour of the animal world through craft and fine art. This week, we welcome Jonathan Chiswell Jones’ intricate lustreware ceramics and a fresh selection of Charlotte Farmer’s vibrant, characterful prints.

They join an eclectic mix of over 15 artists whose work ranges from recycled-tool bird sculptures to playful woodcuts and textile creatures. Come see what’s new, and revisit your favourites — there’s always something new and different waiting.

Katie Sollohub: Art on the Beach & in the Studio

Artist Katie Sollohub is teaching two immersive, sea‑inspired classes this summer—perfect for freeing your creativity both outside in the fresh salt air and in our calm studio space.

Sketchbooks by the Sea
Mon 18 – Tues 19 August

Spend two full days working directly on the beach, filling a sketchbook with mark-making, notes, textures, and colour. Inspired by wind, light, sound, and salt, this course invites you to notice more deeply and create more freely. You’ll leave with a book full of memories and observations.
