Good afternoon,

Nicola Sturgeon has reported that there are 175 new coronavirus cases across Scotland.

The First Minister released the latest statistics at her daily briefing in St Andrews House in Edinburgh.

There are 80 cases in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 39 in Lanarkshire, 24 in Lothian, and 12 in Ayrshire & Arran. The remaining 20 cases are spread across another six health board areas.

Ms Sturgeon has said that the rising cases in Lanarkshire were a concern. There are 269 people currently in hospital with the virus, with eight of those people in intensive care.
