Listen to the podcast | Max Gunawan - Lumio
Nothing initially seemed to point Max Gunawan, the founder of Lumio, in the direction of design. Then came a desire to create something, and a luminous idea sprang forth: the Lito book/lamp. He found a unique way to bring his concept to life: crowdfunding, with $600,000 collected in just a month, and 800,000 pieces sold to date. Named a Rising Talent by Maison&Objet Americas in 2015, his journey has what it takes to inspire young designers. He has a 5-year goal: to create 5 objects like no others that are beautiful, use invisible, but cutting-edge technology, and, more than anything, are infused with emotion. After light, he moves on to sound; his next exceptional object, Teno, is now available for pre-orders! Learn more | | Teno |
