A bipartisan group of House lawmakers has introduced a bill that would permit employers to offer standalone telehealth plans on top of workers' existing health insurance plan. The Telehealth Benefit Expansion for Workers Act would increase access to employer-based benefits by categorizing telehealth as an excepted benefit.
There are 5.3 million more jobs being offered than there are workers available to take them, according to a metric developed by Goldman Sachs economists.
