Judge Ian Dennis Jacques retires with effect from 1 February 2024. Background information Judge Jacques was admitted as a Solicitor in 1980. He was appointed a part-time Chairman of the Social Security Appeal Tribunals in 1993 and a District Chairman of Appeal Tribunals (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber)) []

District Judge Abigail Smith retires from the District Bench with effect from 1 February 2024. Background information District Judge Smith was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1989. She was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 2003 and a District Judge in 2011.
