A Degree For People Who Want To Lead | Over 100 years ago, leaders of The Wesleyan Church met to discuss a fundamental problem: their pastors and church leaders needed more robust training and education that better prepared them for all the facets of ministry.
Inspired by this need, Indiana Wesleyan University was founded. While the university has expanded its purpose to equip students for all kinds of marketplace vocations, today many look to IWU to prepare them for their call to ministry.
Aspiring ministers and lay leaders in the church often face a significant obstacle to maximizing their potential: they need relevant education and biblical training to prepare them for local church leadership. Churches need talent and discipleship resources to launch new ministries, engage their local communities, and develop effective disciples.
