| We had previously shared that we would introduce our new regulatory approach in January 2023. Following a full review of our timeline we have decided this will not happen until later in 2023. Earlier in 2022 we laid out our approach to how and when we would take the next steps in delivering our strategy.Following a review, we have shared an update on our website setting out the approach we will take in 2023. Until we implement our new regulatory approach we will continue to regulate using our existing approach, including registering, monitoring and inspecting against our existing key questions and key lines of enquiry (KLOEs) To help you get ready for our new regulatory approach being implemented later this year, well use these bulletins to focus on a specific element of the approach. In the first of the series, this month well focus on our new quality statements. In our new single assessment framework ourratings and five key questions will stay central to our approach. We will replace our existing key lines of enquiry (KLOEs) with a new set of quality statements. Quality statements are the commitments that providers, commissioners and system leaders should live up to. Expressed as we statements, they show what is needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Quality statements will be grouped under each of our five key questions and will link to the regulations. When we undertake assessments using our new approach we'll do so against these new quality statements anduse evidence from a variety of sources to make judgements about quality. We've published the full list of quality statements on our website. In advance of us implementing our new regulatory approach we'll publish more detailed guidance. We've also published information on other elements of our new regulatory approach.
