The first webinar in our transformation series, this episode focuses on how we'll roll out our new regulatory approach and provider portal to all health and social care providers. We also let you know when we expect to start using our new regulatory approach and the steps well take to get there. This one-hour webinar is led by Chris Day, our Director of Engagement, and Amanda Hutchinson, our Head of Policy, Regulatory Change. Its an opportunity to hear the latest updates about our new regulatory approach. There were some technical issues during this webinar and unfortunately, some of the presentation slides were cut off. "These are two major milestones in delivering our strategy. Making our interactions with providers more streamlined and simpler is central in supporting them to deliver better care. Our new assessment approach will be more flexible and proportionate, and will be the driving force behind giving an up-to-date view of quality." CQC Chief Executive, Ian Trenholm Our latest update about how and when we're changing the way we assess providers using the new assessment framework, is available now.
Our new assessment framework covers all sectors, service types and levels from registration, to how we look at local authorities and integrated care systems. Ratings and the 5 key questions remain Quality statements focus on specific topic areas under key questions They set clear expectations of providers, based on peoples experiences and the standards of care they expect They replace our key lines of enquiry (KLOEs), prompts and ratings characteristics Were introducing 6 new evidence categories to organise information under the statements Registration is also based on this framework. It is the first assessment activity for providers in an integrated process. Our user researchers look at how people use websites and systems (like Notify CQC or Give Feedback on Care) so we can improve them. Currently, our focus is on our provider guidance web pages and making sure you can find the information you need with ease. Were particularly interested in hearing from small providers. For example, providers that have only 1 or 2 locations, registered managers of a GP practice, or registered managers from care homes with a small number of staff. If this is something youd like to take part in, you can; contact the user research team, letting us know your job title, type of provider and how many staff there are. (Please title your subject line Provider guidance website UR) sign up to our user research panel. We contact people on this panel with research opportunities that are suitable. We're transforming how we regulate, building on what we've learned from listening to people who work in health and social care. Our playlist of short videos takes you through our next steps.
