Washington Post's new AI chatbot will answer your climate-related questions

It has been trained on years' worth of the Post's articles

The Washington Post has launched an AI-powered chatbot designed to answer readers’ questions about the climate and related issues, TechRadar reported.

Called Climate Answers, the chatbot searches years of Washington Post articles and ranks the results based on relevancy. It then uses AI smarts to give a conversational response to the query, along with links to the articles from which the information was pulled.

Describing the chatbot as “an experiment” that “may not always function exactly as we hope,” the Post added that people using it should verify the responses using the underlying articles ...

Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus: Hear speech better than ever, crowds or no

A major issue with hidden hearing loss is that it is not diagnosable or measurable in the traditional sense. Unless you already own a hearing aid, which is usually prescription-based and very expensive, there’s not much you can do to improve the situation, or at least that was the case.

Sennheiser has introduced pseudo earbuds called Conversation Clear Plus, which solve this exact problem. They’re uniquely designed to enhance speech in bustling situations through a bevy of intelligent technologies like active noise cancellation, directional speech enhancement, and easy personalization via the Conversation Clear app ...

The Samsung Galaxy Ring may change wearables forever

Samsung has made a key decision regarding its new smart ring that could have a big impact on the competition

Samsung has decided to make the Galaxy Ring's app and all of its data free to access, differentiating it from many of the other existing smart rings and similar health-focused wearables. This is a big deal, Digital Trends reported, as it could change the way health and fitness brands view subscription models in the future, and perhaps lead to those annoying monthly payments being ditched.

One of the leading smart rings currently on the market, the Oura Ring, charges $6 per month to access health data, and if you don’t pay, functionality is reduced to viewing three basic stats. Google also charges $10 per month for Fitbit Premium’s in-depth data and a few additional features ...

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 SUV has a cool new audio feature

Passengers can still listen to music while the driver takes a call

Infiniti’s recently debuted QX80 SUV includes a partnership with Nissan, Panasonic, and Klipsch that's given the vehicle’s audio system an exciting overhaul, Popular Science reported.

Arkansas-based Klipsch was founded in 1946 and has built a reputation for high-end audio gear, but it’s only recently entered the in-car audio space. For the QX80, it’s built a 24-speaker, 1200-watt system that includes some neat technology involving frequency management and noise cancellation that allows passengers to keep listening to music while the driver takes a call.

The feature creates a “sound bubble” by canceling the frequencies from all of the other speakers and feeding in the phone audio via the headrest speaker ...

Apple has announced that Severance season 2 will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 17, Polygon reported. Subsequent episodes — 10 in total — will launch every Friday through March 21.

Apple also released a short preview (above) of season 2 of the mystery sci-fi series about a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives.

Nintendo appears to tease an unsettling new horror game

The Japanese video game giant has released a teaser called Emio that’s left many fans a little bemused — or creeped out

Nintendo’s eerie 15-second teaser (above) features somebody with a paper bag over their head, and seems to tease an unannounced horror game coming to the Switch, Kotaku reported. It ends with three Japanese characters that translate as “smiling man.”

Nintendo America’s X account posted a screenshot from the video with the hashtag WhoIsEmio? It also includes a link to the clip, which Kotaku notes is age-restricted and “a rare move for the family-friendly gaming company.”

There's also an official Nintendo webpage showing the creepy figure just standing there. It’s all very bizarre and has created a quite a stir, which is precisely what Nintendo wanted. Hopefully all will be revealed soon ...
