Good evening,

Good evening,

Who is Mr. X?

It's the question that's been on everyone's lips since James Packer hit the stand for a NSW casino inquiry this week, which will report on the suitability of Crown and its associates to hold a gaming licence at its Barangaroo development.

Mr X was brought up during the inquiry on Tuesday as a mysterious Crown suitor who received a threat from Packer that made him fear for his well-being.

Well, it's a mystery no more.

Tonight, we unveil who Mr X is and have got the details on what the proposed bid for Crown involved that he was spearheading.

Meanwhile, mid-market private equity firm Pemba Capital tapped boutique Luminis Partners to help it assess options for its cyber security business after a handful of inbound inquiries.

And finally, we've got two mining services scoops; ASX-listed Downer Mining has sold its stake in a heavy equipment hire company, and a Papua New Guinean mining services company is eyeing a run at the ASX.

Happy reading,

Sarah Thompson, Anthony Macdonald and Tim Boyd
