Like all greasy spoons, it specializes in fried foods, processed meats, and heavy starches cooked in butter, accompanied with coffee and followed by pie. Think omelets and onion rings, burgers and bacon, biscuits and gravy. They serve comfort food, in other words, which is why I took my fourteen-year-old daughter there for a serious conversation. I thought the fare might make the dialogue more palatable. |
