| | With cancer research becoming increasingly data-driven, we need a diverse and inclusive data science workforce to reflect the needs of the whole community. The Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) Black Internship programme helps address the urgent need for new health data scientists and the under-representation of Black scientists in the field. You can read more from some of the previous interns our funded groups have hosted to see how beneficial this programme can be. HDR UK are now calling for organisations to pledge to host summer 2025 interns. Find out more about what being a host entails and make the pledge.

| | | | The webinar will begin with insights from Sara Wakeling, a patient advocate and CEO and co-founder of Alice's Arc. Sara will share why research into developing better treatment options for children and young people is so urgently needed. We will then be joined by a panel of experts Yael Mossé (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute), Charles Keller (Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute) and Laura Donovan (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health). They will share research on developing more effective, targeted treatments for children and young people affected by cancer. Register now to join the webinar on 25 November, from 3–4:30 pm (GMT). | |
