| FEATURE A Spring Frolic at Lonely Mountain Farm | CUESA's spring farm tours have sprung, and our farm adventurers kicked off the season last Sunday with a trip to Lonely Mountain Farm, one of the newest and youngest farms at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, followed by a bouquet market workshop at the nearby Four Sisters Farm. Lonely Mountain's Kenny and Molly Baker (shown here, with son River) are first-generation farmers who grow a diverse crop of vegetables, fruit, and flowers on 10 acres of land in Corralitos, about 90 miles south of San Francisco. We learned all about their intensive and diverse organic farm and met Nigerian Dwarf goats and miniature donkeys up close. |
