Editor's Notes

Today I learned that digital horse breeding is a ... thing?

It came up during my Technical.ly Developers Conference panel about the technical, business and cultural impact of NFTs, aka nonfungible tokens, aka original digital tokens like art, music, tweets or anything else that can be bought and sold on the Ethereum blockchain. Experts Jarrod Dicker and Aaron Ricketts (who began selling his own digital artwork as NFTs in March) talked at length about why this trend has blown up recently, whether we're in an NFT bubble and what opportunities are still to come. I learned a ton. Look for a recap of our conversation later this week.

Dev Conf is one of two big conferences we pull off during Philly Tech Week, which is running through this Saturday. Next up on Thursday: Introduced by Technical.ly, with a focus on building better companies. Learn more and register here, and we'll see you there.
