I work to create a narrative with the setting or theme in my artwork by utilizing traditional methods while capturing contemporary or antique subject matter. I paint with a passion for the creative process and enjoy the indirect method of painting as was used by the old masters. My objective is for the story or theme of the painting is to be enjoyed by the audience by invoking an emotion or memory and thereby finding their own connection to it. I am inspired by the people around me, the places I have travelled to and the objects in my environment. I enjoy the different challenges that arise with each composition. I wish to be continually inspired by the masters of yesterday and those of today! BIO/CV Diane Morgan is originally from the UK but has spent the majority of her life living in Ontario Canada.
