Getting tons of robotexts in NY? Why they're so common and hard to fight

Robotexts, or scam texts, have jumped significantly from a year ago, says a new report from the Consumer Watchdog office of the nonprofit U.S. PIRG.

Complaints about violations of the Do Not Call Law in NY decreased by 46% between 2021 and 2022. But robotexts are the newest phone scam to look out for.
