1991 - The renovated and landscaped Smith Family Cemetery in Nauvoo, Illinois, is dedicated. The dedication is performed under the joint direction of President Wallace B. Smith, President of the RLDS (now Community of Christ) Church, and Elder M. Russell Ballard of the LDS Church. The cemetery contains the grave sites of Joseph, Emma, Joseph’s brothers, (Don Carlos, Samuel, and Hyrum) Joseph, Sr., Lucy Mack Smith, and many other family members.
