QUOTE OF THE DAY Thomas S. Monson
“To all who are here today, I say, ‘Look inside yourself. You are more than what you have become. Remember who you are.’ You are a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father. You have come from His presence to live on this earth for a season and to live in such a way that you are an example of the believers and a true light to the world. When that season has ended, you will be able to return to live with Him once again. May this be your blessing as you nurture your testimony and as you follow the example set for you and for all of us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, ‘the true Light, which lighteth every man [and woman] that cometh into the world.’ Of Him I testify: He is our Savior and our Redeemer, our Advocate with the Father. He is our Exemplar and our strength. He is the light that shineth in darkness. That each of us here today may pledge to follow Him and to be His lights among men and women is my prayer” (“Be a Light to the World,” BYU Devotional, November 1, 2011). Brother Joseph Seer of New Dispensation (Vol 1) by W. Cleon Skousen & Richard N. Skousen Bringing forth a new gospel dispensation is fraught with enormous difficulties, the first of which is to raise up a man, endow him with power, and train and tutor him so that he can complete this overwhelming task. Joseph Smith was this man; and indisputably the greatest man of his time. But not at first. Born to a life of obscurity as the son of a poor farmer, he rose through the guidance and assistance of heaven to become known throughout the world today. Yet many aspects of his life are still shrouded in mystery. In his day, he was both revered and hated by tens of thousands of his contemporaries. What would cause this visceral reaction? Just who was the Prophet Joseph Smith? Get answers to these questions and many others in Brother Joseph: Seer of a New Dispensation. Click HERE!
