For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads. Wherefore, lift up thy heart and rejoice, and cleave unto the covenants which thou hast made. Click Here!

QUOTE OF THE DAY Heber J. Grant
“What sublime faith—that all is well! even should you die in the wilderness, and be buried in an unknown grave, so to speak; and yet that was their faith; and they could sing these words, night after night, with their hearts in what they sang. They were verily praying to the Lord. They had full faith in the revelation given to the wife of the Prophet Joseph Smith, wherein it is written: ‘The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads’” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Heber J. Grant, p. 135). For more Quote of the Day Click Here!
TODAY IN CHURCH HISTORY July 22, 2021
1839 - The greatest day of healing in Church history. The Prophet Joseph, after spending several days in his home sick, arose from his bed and began to administer and heal those who were sick in his home and yard. He then walked along the river, healing everyone he came to, including Heber C. Kimball, who then joined him as he crossed the river to Montrose to heal the sick there. He healed Elders Brigham Young, Wilford Woodruff, Orson Pratt, and John Taylor who were staying in Montrose. The Prophet then sent the Quorum of the Twelve out to heal others who were sick. Joseph recorded, “The sick were administered unto with great success, but many remain sick, and new cases are occurring daily” (History of the Church, 4:3). For More Church History, Click Here!
I Sailed to Zion: True Stories of Young Pioneers Who Crossed the Ocean by Susan Arrington Madsen This book contains 24 first-person accounts of children and adolescents who left their homes to sail to America. These young people experienced many adventures on the high seas: from seasickness and separation from loved ones to raging storms and burials at sea, from the simple pleasures of playing marbles or eating a well-cooked custard to the profound joy of seeing land as their journey came to an end. Whether alone or with family, these young pioneers were motivated by the quiet burnings of the Spirit whispering the gospel was true as they sailed to Zion. Click Here!
