J. Krishnamurti Online

Can one, living in this world, be alone, innocent? Whatever the analysts, psychologists, doctors, scientists, the modern priests – the whole lot of them – do or don’t say, when I have put all this away, I am no longer confused. This is not the result of thinking, which only creates resistance. So it is not through thought, not through analysis, not through examination, not through desiring – ‘Oh, I must not be confused’ – but seeing the whole of it, seeing totally. You cannot see totally if there is thinking. Now I am prepared to face fear. Now I am prepared to see what fear is because my fear has created all this – the country, the politician, the gods – all the works. Also, thought is fragmentary. Thought breeds fragmentation, so I must be very alert in watching fear that thought does not interfere.
