J. Krishnamurti Online

The Russian Revolution in 1918 said, ‘We are going to wipe out all classes, there will be no army, and ultimately government will disappear; there will be no need for government.’ They started out with brilliant ideas but they destroyed millions of people in trying to establish those ideas, forcing it down people’s throats. They liquidated them, they sent them to forced camps, they tortured them, they put them in all kinds of impossible places in Siberia, and all that. And after killing probably millions of people, they came back to the same old pattern of the high, the middle and the low. The same pattern was being repeated. Therefore through revolution they have not brought peace; they have not brought about the unity of mankind.
