The thinker is the past, as well as thought, and the thinker is always the observer, is always the entity that says, ‘I must, I must not, I should be, I shall not be.’ The thinker becomes an entity in which there is stability and assumed permanency. So there is the thinker and thought: a division. But the thinker exists only through thought; it cannot exist by itself. So the thinker is the thought – there is no division between the thinker and the thought. Then the conflict between the thinker and thought comes to an end.
