For most of us, function has become very important, and with it goes status, position, class. There is contradiction and conflict where status comes into being with function, and so there is class differentiation and class struggle. You may wipe it out, or one may socially try to eradicate class, but as long as there is status accompanying function, there must be conflict. And that is what we all want: status which is power.
